Yarbrough Presents Broadview Park District with Funding for Infrastructure Upgrades

BROADVIEW, IL – On Thursday, August 27, at the Park Board’s 6:30 p.m. meeting, State Rep. Karen Yarbrough (D-Maywood) presented Broadview Park District Executive Director Katrina Thompson with a $200,000 check.  The state funding, secured with Yarbrough’s assistance, will be used for general infrastructure upgrades.

“Public parks are an important community asset, providing green space and encouraging families to get active together,” Yarbrough said.  “I am pleased to have been able to secure these funds for Broadview and will continue working to bring taxpayer dollars back home where they are needed.”
