At the September 13,
2006 Village of Bellwood
board meeting, State
Representative Karen
Yarbrough presented the
Village with a $70,000
I.T.E.P. State Grant,
which will be used to
maintain bike paths on
the Village's portion of
the Prairie Path, from
25th Avenue to Mannheim
Road. The money will
cover safety fence
installation, route
signs and pavement
improvement on that
two-mile route.
