Below you will find summaries of important legislation lawmakers in Springfield are working on to enhance the lives of seniors.

House Bill 2453 ensures hospitals that discharge seniors to nursing homes do not use or recommend unlicensed or unregistered facilities.

House Bill 2380 establishes a program to raise public awareness, educate consumers and train health professionals, teachers, and human service providers on the prevention and treatment of arthritis.

Senate Bill 159 strengthens licensing requirements, quality inspection standards and ensures background checks fro home health care workers entrusted with our loved ones

House Bill 3922 (93rd General Assembly) ensures that Illinois seniors can take full advantage of any changes to Medicare prescription drug benefits.

House Bill 6706 (93rd General Assembly) expands services and training for individuals providing care to our elderly family members.

House Bill 4837 (93rd General Assembly) authorizes the Illinois Department on Aging to establish a new program aimed at providing the highest quality of care to individuals residing in Community Based Residential Facilities.
